6.7.3 WiFi Settings

Random Channel: Select to randomize the

WiFi channel. This makes it less likely that

the wireless signal from this router will

conflict with another router in the same area.

Channel: The WiFi channel corresponds to

a frequency the router uses to communicate

with other devices. The range is 1 to 11, and

1, 6, and 11 do not overlap each other. If a

WiMAX modem is attached, a higher

number channel will increase the chance the

router's WiFi and modem's WiMAX radios

will conflict with each other, which may

result in lower throughput. Select a channel

from the dropdown list:

 2 (2417 MHz)

 3 (2422 MHz)

 4 (2427 MHz)

 5 (2432 MHz)

 6 (2437 MHz)

 7 (2442 MHz)

 8 (2447 MHz)

 9 (2452 MHz)
